Thornyrabbit wasg started as an art collective in 2001 by Andrew and Michele Macklin. The plan at the start was to redesign the thornyrabbit site once a month based on a theme, but this soon proved quite a task. Eventually it settled more into a playground where Andrew and Michele could experiment with various programs. The website gained a following and was exhibited as ‘interactive art’. The site was also featured on sites like Scene 360, Design is Kinky and various other design related websites. The direction of Thornyrabbit.com is currently in limbo, but both creators are comtemplating what to do next.
About Andrew and Michele Macklin.
- Andrew likes music and buys a lot of CD’s. Michele does not buy any music cause she thinks it is kinda pointless since Andrew has probably bought it already.
- Andrew likes cats. Michele likes cats to! They have 4 cats which moved with them from Cape Town, South Africa to Vancouver Island, Canada.
- Andrew likes to draw and paint. Michele likes to draw cartoons and likes watching them even more cause she is very lazy.
- Andrew arranges his clothing in colour order. Michele leaves her shoes all over the house and Andrew falls over them.
Both work for Webacom Media Corporation, an interactive agency.
